Sławomir Jaranowski: Hello to everyone!

Since this is my first post I’d like to introduce myself. My name’s Sławomir Jaranowski and I’m from Poland, to be precise from Elbląg city. I’m studying IT on Computer Systems and Network Administration profile in State University of Applied Sciences in Elbląg and I’m on 4th year of it.

As for now I’m doing traineeship in Tralios IT GmbH in Karlsruhe. They work on Linux OS (specifically Gentoo distro) so I’m hoping to hone up my skills in that part. Also for me this is a good opportunity to learn how Managed Server or virtual server works and how to set them up and manage them. I’d love to know more about virtualization and network management.
So far I’ve done assembling 3 new servers and configuring them to use in data center, also I did check how one of IDS programs is working and how to use KVM.

I’ll try to write what I’m doing while I’m here from time to time.
